Big Bob Reichenbach

Big Bob Reichenbach passed away peacefully at 91. He was the ultimate school bus salesman. For relaxation Bob did not play golf tennis, cards or board games. He sold buses.

A fun weekend for Bob was driving 250 miles to pick up a used bus, drive it home to have it painted, put seat belts in it, and after fuel, meals, transport and repairs, he was proud of the $25 left over that he did not have before he sold the bus.

His life and relationships revolved around the bus business. He knew the names of all his clients’ children’s names and birthdates. He didn’t need a CRM; he remembered them because it was important.

When his grandson Robert graduated Business and Law schools, it was just another Sunday graduation party. But when he joined Bird Bus, it filled Bob’s life with renewed enthusiasm.

Unfortunately, Bob’s personal body and chassis started to deteriorate after 90 years. On his recent (final) trip to the rehab center, they asked his blood type.

The answer: “School Bus Chrome Yellow.”

Rest In Peace.
